Co-Sponsoring Kiddush
If you want to sponsor Kiddush on a specific week, but the week already has at least one other sponsor, the office will let you know. At this point, you can choose to sponsor a different week, or ask to be a co-sponsor. Co-sponship will depend on permission from those already sponsoring (this is reckoned on a 'first come first serve' basis). If the original sponsor(s) are okay with it, you can co-sponsor the week you want. When this happens, the cost of the Kiddush will be split between the sponsor families. Note, while this may save you money, it also means that only your name(s) as sponor(s) will appear in the Bulletin that week--your reasons, along with all other reasons for sponsoring, will only appear on the Kiddush Lobby Screen Graphic for that week. This is a necessity of Bulletin space constraints. Please consider this when choosing whether to sponsor a different week or consider requesting co-sponsorship.
Announcing your Kiddush Please tell the office if you want to sponsor anonymously. If you want your name(s) and reason announced, please provide the office with exactly who is sponsoring and your reason for sponsorship as soon as possible, and no later than Monday at noon the week of the Kiddush. In the office, we do our best to include as much of your provided reason--as you provided it--as possible. However, if the reason is longer or more involved, we will put the essence of it, edited for grammer, in the Bulletin (and on our website sidebar)*. The full reason you provide, as you stated it, will always appear (edited for grammer) on the Kiddush Lobby Screen Graphic for that week.
*The above announcement procedure applies only when there is one Kiddush sponsor, and only one reason, in a given week. In the case where there is more than one sponsor, your names will all be listed in the Bulletin and online, but the reason(s) will only appear on the Kiddush Lobby Screen Graphic. If you very much want your reason for sponsorship to appear in the Bulletin, please sponsor on a week when you will be the sole sponsor.
