Schedule for High Holiday Services 5782
The times for the holidays and the service schedule is as follows.
Selichot
- Join us Saturday evening August 28th 11:00PM for a kumzitz musical sing-along in the social hall, followed by a shiur by Rabbi Strauss at 11:45 PM and then Selichos prayers at midnight in the main sanctuary.
- The entire program will be available to view on Zoom as well.
- Selichot Monday through Friday Mornings at approximately 6:30 AM time and location to be determined
Rosh Hashannah
- Candle lighting on Monday, September 6 is at 6:53 PM and on Tuesday, September 7, not before 7:51 PM.
- Mincha and Maariv services will take place on Monday evening September 6th and Tuesday evening September 7th at 6:55 PM
- Rosh Hashanna Morning services on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:45 AM with Shofar approximately 10:45
- Children’s program, COVID restrictions permitting, to begin at 10AM in the lower level.
Tzom Gedalya
- Fast begins at 5:06 AM and ends at 7:36 PM
- Mincha services at 6:35 PM
Yom Kippur
- The Daughters of Israel Mikva will be open for men on erev Yom Kippur, Wednesday, September 15th at 1 PM
- Erev Yom Kippur Mincha services will be at 2 PM
- Candle lighting is at 6:37 PM
- Kol Nidre services will begin at 6:40 PM on Wednesday September 15th
- Yom Kippur morning services will begin at 8:45 AM on Wednesday October 9th.
- Yizkor will be recited, to begin not before 11:15AM
- Mincha will be at 4:45 PM followed by Neilah
- Havdalah and the end of the fast is at 7:35 PM
In the main sanctuary, Rabbi Strauss will be leading us and we are glad to say that Dr. Jesse Hefter will again be with us for Selichot and will lead our Kol Nidrei, Musaf and Neilah prayers and Rabbi Ben Houben will lead Shacharit and Mincha.
In the social hall, a second service will be led by Dov Hochsztein, Hillel Hochsztein, Michael Kosowsky and Gavi Adler.
Please Note: Due to the rise in COVID cases, masks are required for all individuals over the age of two. Services will be streamlined to reduce the time we will need to be indoors with masks on and we hope that having the second service will decrease the number of people sharing the same spaces.
All of the above is subject to change to keep up with changes necessitated by the pandemic. (not the ritual zemanim of course)
