Saturday, February 14, 2015 • 25 Shevat 5775
1:00 PM - 2:00 PMKTM
An important part of Shmittah is debt forgiveness (Shmittah kessafim).
Join us for a brief discussion of the halachot of Shmittat kessafim and their historical fulfillment in the US, followed by a discussion with Robert Housman about his founding and running Yad Chessed.
Yad Chessed provides financial assistance to those in need as well as providing interest free loans and a special program to fulfill the mitzvah of Matanot l'Evyonim for Purim. Recently Yad Chessed celebrated its 25th anniversary.
