Rabbi Professor Daniel Sinclair
Professor of Jewish Law and Comparative Biomedical Law
Professor Sinclair is distinguished jurist, scholar and medical ethicist. He has lectured widely at
Hebrew University, Kings College, London, and Fordham University. He has held the portfolio for
medical ethics in the British Chief Rabbi’s Cabinet and has consulted internationally of the nexus
of Jewish Law and Medical Ethics.
Professor Sinclair is an ordained rabbi and has studied at Israeli yeshivot, including Kerem B’Yavneh
and Mercaz Harav Kook. He holds a Ph.D. in Law from Hebrew University where he was awarded
the prestigious Jacob Herzog Memorial Prize in Jewish Law.
